Walk for Trees – A Step Counter That Makes a Difference

Walk for Trees is a smart and motivating app developed by Trefadder. Designed to promote employee wellbeing and raise awareness of climate action, the app turns every step your team takes into real impact through tree planting or the protection of Norway’s ancient forests.

Tree Wiki

Welcome to Tree-Wiki, Trefadder’s digital reference guide offering a solid introduction to the tree species found in Norwegian forests. Learn about each species’ origin, appearance, key characteristics and where in Norway they can be found.

The images in Tree-Wiki are captured by our in-house forest photographer, Daniel Pedersen, highlighting the rich diversity of Norway’s woodland ecosystems.

Verified Climate Credits

Trefadder offers high-quality climate credits through carbon removal in Norwegian climate forests — tailored for companies seeking to offset their residual emissions.

Businesses across industries are partnering with Trefadder to strengthen their climate strategies. Our projects are developed in close collaboration with local farmers and come with a guaranteed volume of CO₂ removed from the atmosphere.

One Tonne of CO₂ equals one Climate Credit
Trefadder's climate forests remove CO₂ from the atmosphere through photosynthesis, storing it as carbon in the trees' biomass – a proven method of carbon capture and long-term storage.

This removal is verified and converted into climate credits, which companies can use to compensate for their unavoidable emissions in accordance with corporate climate reporting standards.

Invest in Nature-Based Solutions

In addition to carbon removal, Trefadder offers nature and ecosystem restoration projects with a dedicated focus on biodiversity. These include the protection of old-growth forests, reforestation with native broadleaf and conifer species, and the restoration of marine kelp habitats.

These initiatives are certified as climate and nature credits.

An increasing number of companies are choosing to complement their carbon offset strategy with verified CO₂ removal from nature-based solutions, thereby creating broader environmental and reputational value.
