Our products
Your climate certificate
After becoming a Trefadder customer, you will receive a climate certificate that documents your climate compensation. This certificate can be used internally, for example in the annual report, or externally, such as in tender documents.
Along with the certificate, you also receive a map of your climate forest and a dedicated climate page that provides a thorough explanation of your contribution.
What is a carbon credit?
All businesses have direct and/or indirect emissions, such as electricity, transportation, air travel, purchasing computers and manufacturing goods. A business can take many measures to lower emissions, but most will still have so-called residual emissions that cannot be reduced further today for economic and technological reasons.
This residual emission can be offset with carbon credits to achieve climate neutrality. At Trefadder, 1 carbon credit is equivalent to removing 1 ton of CO2 from the atmosphere.
This means that if you have residual emissions of 80 tons of CO2, we will remove 80 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere by planting enough trees.
The natural function of trees is to breathe in CO2 which is converted to carbon (hence the term carbon sequestration) in the tree, its roots and the soil. The byproduct of trees is the production of Oxygen.
