Furuseth farm, Stor-Elvdal

Pioneers in voluntary forest protection
Norway's first voluntary commercial forest protection takes place on parts of the land of Jens and Hildegunn Naas-Bibow, who run Furuseth farm in Stor-Elvdal. The Naas-Bibow family is engaged in a number of activities, including forestry, hydroelectric power plants and the operation of the country's largest solar park.
With over 120.000 acres at their disposal, they have a large amount of room to develop new initiatives and contribute to sustainable climate and environmental projects.
Trefadder and the Naas-Bibow family have several forest projects underway, but first up is Norway's first voluntary commercial protection of old-growth forests. This important project contributes both to preserving valuable forest areas for future generations and to protecting a large biodiversity
