Sæther farm, Surnadalen

Partnership for the future in Surnadalen
In Surnadalen we find the famous salmon river that has given much joy to generations, and here is also Sæther farm – a family farm that has been in the Sæther family's ownership for several generations. The current owner, Anders Sæther, is both a graduate in economics and agronomy, and runs the farm with a focus on grazing animals and forestry.
Trefadder and the Sæther family have had a successful partnership for several years, which has resulted in more than 300.000 trees planted. This will bind tens of thousands of tons of CO₂ and has also helped create many jobs along the way.
Although the forest grows naturally, it requires regular supervision, action and care to ensure that the values are transferred to the next generation. The Sæther family, like many farmers, has a strong focus on creating values for the future, and they take responsibility by contributing to increased reforestation to bind large amounts of CO₂.
Trefadder and our customers are proud of the good partnership with the Sæther family, and we look forward to continuing the collaboration to ensure a sustainable future.
