In our climate forests, we plant two-year-old trees from approved producers. The trees have a tracking and genetic pedigree that is adapted to the location in which the trees are planted. Each year class is planted in a defined area.
- Forest owner/property is PEFC certified , takes into account current existing legislation and that criteria for environmental information are maintained.
- The climate forest receives increased rights through a registered climate forest. The registration ensures that the areas are only used for tree planting through Trefadder.
- Trefadder finances the processing of areas, the purchase of plants, planting and care.
When the spruce trees have grown and bound the maximum amount of carbon, they are well suited as building materials, etc. This ensures that the time for carbon storage is extended.
